Welcome to a pictorial of the BCT Patch Hill Walk that was led by board member Anne Gardulski on November 19, 2005. About 45 people, of various ages enjoyed a leisurely and informative walk on a beautiful day. Anne spoke of the origins of the geological formations in the region and brought samples of the types of rocks for all to see and touch. Anne designed a scavenger hunt to find natural features for the youngest participants and they eagerly completed it during the first hour of the walk. For those not familiar with the Patch Hill property it gave them a chance to experience the diversity of one of Boxborough's largest conservation parcels. If you want to read more about the geology of Boxborough as taught by Anne and recounted by Dave Bull read the article published in the June 2005 BCT newsletter. The photos follow the chronological order of the walk except for the last two. |
